Home

We got to come home from the hospital on Monday afternoon. It's been pretty much a standard new parent experience so far... things are going well, but we're very tired emotionally and physically. We just have to get past this initial adjustment period to find our new normalcy.

Also, happy 30th birthday to my wife, who has taken to motherhood like a fish to water.

Well said, Phil. And soon you'll feel the truth of those words... until then, keep repeating. Nothing in parenting classes can prepare you for the emotional challenge you're facing; it gives "new" new meaning. Know that you two are so good together and you've produced an amazing child and your support system is strong -- feel the prayers and the love. Big hugs to all. -Ginni (PS, Happy Happy Birthday, Mackensie!)

I'm so glad that everyone is home and getting adjusted! Happy Birthday (and first day of spring), Mackensie!

Mackensie & Phil - Ben is an absolute angel. Could you ask for a better birthday present?? It won't be long before you get into a routine, and you'll know exactly what Baby Ben needs. Things WILL be normal and you will get sleep eventually. Like pregnancy and labor, these first few weeks will become a blur too as life becomes increasingly wonderful. Enjoy every minute & have fun.
Love,
Lisa (who dreads going back to work on Monday)

Enjoy these newborn days and take lots of pictures! The pictures are the only way I remember what happened during those first sleep-deprived months.

Congrats again! The first year will fly by but so will all the rest! Corey turned 14 yesterday and seeing the pics of Ben takes me back to what seems like just a few years ago for me. Cherish every minute with each other. Ben is adorable and the side by side pic is really cool...I think Ben's a lot more cute! :o)
