The kids meet (one more aware of it than the other)

This is very late coming, but we've posted some pictures of when Ben met Meryl for the first time. (He wasn't allowed in the hospital, so it wasn't until a few days in.) Full set of pictures at the link below:

And here we go. As I write, we're in a labor & delivery room at Kettering Medical Center, getting ready to meet our daughter. Here's our current status:
Progress: 4 cm / 100% effaced
Contractions: quite painful, I'm told
Epideral: can't get here soon enough
Father: fine, thanks

Oakwood Fall Family Festival

Our town had their annual scarecrow competition and family festival yesterday--always one of Mackensie's favorite days of the year. This was the first year that Ben was big enough to participate in most of the activities, and as you can see below, he made the most of it. It was probably the last big thing we'll do before we become a family of four. Any day now...

Coming soon...

We had a 3D ultrasound of the girl this morning. She was content to bury her head in the placenta most of the time, so we didn't get to see much. We'll try again for a better look next week.

Calling Them "Bagels" Doesn't Make It So

A friend brought doughnuts to the park yesterday. Ben called them "bagels," ate two, and wanted more. Thanks to another friend for the picture!
