And here we go. As I write, we're in a labor & delivery room at Kettering Medical Center, getting ready to meet our daughter. Here's our current status: Progress: 4 cm / 100% effaced Contractions: quite painful, I'm told Epideral: can't get here soon enough Father: fine, thanks
Our town had their annual scarecrow competition and family festival yesterday--always one of Mackensie's favorite days of the year. This was the first year that Ben was big enough to participate in most of the activities, and as you can see below, he made the most of it. It was probably the last big thing we'll do before we become a family of four. Any day now...
We are Phil and Mackensie Wittmer, and we created this blog to keep friends, family, and internet stalkers updated throughout the labor and delivery process for our son back in 2007. Then, we just never got around to quitting. We're about to have our second child, so we may as well keep it up, right?
